Chris Rubick - Coach and Facilitator

Chris Rubick is a high impact performance coach with a Masters of Organisational Psychology whose purpose is to help individuals, teams and organisations to be and become their best. Ultimately, he meets people ‘where they are’ and then uses a combination of data analytics, mindset and behaviour change training to support the transformation they want to make.

His approach utilises Humanistic Psychology to help people fulfill their needs for contribution, autonomy, security and belonging. What follows is a coaching approach that takes the best of performance psychology and assists people to create the habits and practices they want to change, whilst building a system that will support their best.

As a Behavioural Scientist – Chris has designed a profiling tool to measure and understand how the fulfillment of psychological needs influence performance. The outcome is greater understanding of ‘your best’ algorithm which goes beyond the traditional measures of ‘engagement’.

Chris’ experience as a ‘coach’ encompasses 20 years as an internal and external coach delivering 1:1 coaching, leadership programs to all levels, high-performing team initiatives and performance psychology programs for a range of clients, across a broad range of industries including International Cricket Council (ICC), Cricket Australia, Australian Football League (AFL), Australia Post, PwC, Insignia Financial, Country Road & David Jones, Suncorp Business Bank, Netball Australia High Performance and Australian Football League (AFL) Clubs.

Amongst his many qualifications, Chris has completed a Master of Organisational Psychology, with his thesis topics focused on exploring the causes of ‘Choking Under Pressure’ and ‘Higher Performance Cultures that Bring Out Your Best’.

Outside of Chris’ career practicing organisational psychology, he has 10+ years as an Australian Rules Football Coach including the 3 within the elite talent pathway for girls to find the future stars for the AFLW. He is also currently consulting as ‘Mindset Coach’ for MGGS Rowing.
